Man-Kiu Anna Tse was born in Hong Kong, into a modest family: neither of her parents is musician. She began playing piano at the age of 5 and obtained the ATCL diploma from Trinity College London with distinction by the age of 13-Although her piano study was suspended after on due to family financial difficulty, she was fortunate to resume the musical study and meet her most important mentors during undergraduate study in Hong Kong Baptist University. Her accomplishments include first prize in Asia Pacific Outstanding Youth Piano Competition, Hong Kong Golden Bauhinia Youth Piano International Competition, Singapore Zhongsin International Music Competition, Hong Kong International Youth Performance Arts Festival and Purcell International Competition for Young Pianists; second prize in Hong Kong Open Music Competition and fifth prize in Hong Kong International Music Competition. She was also the recipient of the scholarship from Denise Angers Fund and the Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme in 2021, HKSAR Government Talent Development Scholarship in 2019 and HKBU Music’s Honour Roll: Honour Students Recital Awards.She has given performances at Sala del Notari in Italy, Lang Recital Hall in New York, Salle Claude Champagne in Montréal and notable venues in Hong Kong, including Hong Kong City Hall, Wan Chai Convention Centre, Congregation House, and Academic Community Hall. In addition to giving performances in traditional venues, she also reached out to different communities and experimented different mediums of presentation, such as collaborating with sand-painting artists and performed in fund-raising concert for the homeless.
